Country-Style Peach Tart

1 pie crust (For a good homemade pie crust recipe, go to our 'Peach Pie' recipe on our Recipes page, but be sure to halve the recipe).

4 cups sliced peaches

3/4 cup flour

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans

5 tablespoons butter

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt


Roll pie crust to fill a round 12-inch pizza pan. In medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of the flour mixture over crust. Arrange peaches on crust, leaving 1 1/2-inch border around the edge. Using pastry blender, cut butter into remaining flour mixture until crumbly. Stir in pecans. Sprinkle topping over peaches. Fold edge of dough over peaches, crimping as needed. Bake at 400 degrees until crust is golden, about 20 minutes. Best served warm. Makes 6-8 servings.
