Triple Berry Crisp

Ingredients for the Topping:

2c flour

2c rolled oats

1 1/2c packed brown sugar

1/2c chopped nuts

1c butter or substitute (nature balance baking sticks)

1t cinnamon

1t nutmeg

1 t salt

Ingredients for the fruit filling: Any berries you want, totaling 8 cups

2c blueberries

2c raspberries

4c blackberries

1/4c brown sugar

1/4c corn starch


Melt the butter and mix in all other topping ingredients.  Mix until the topping is evenly crumbly.  Wash the fruit and drain it thoroughly.  Stir in the corn starch and brown sugar so there are no clumps.  Spread the fruit over the bottom of a 9”x13” pan.  Cover evenly with the topping and bake at 350F until the topping is golden brown and the fruit filling is bubbling(~50 minutes).  Cool and serve with ice cream.
